Samose Seminar Series: Exploring the Sphere Date & Time: Friday, May 4th at 4pm (Tea/Coffee at 3.45pm) Venue: Simons Centre, Ground Floor Speaker: Prof. Vamsi Pingali, IISc Math Abstract: The Sphere shall be shown in various poses. In some sense, it can be thought of as a polyhedron, a balloon, and the earth itself. Each point of view enables us to study it better. In addition, I hope to present a small application of a way of looking at the Sphere to computer networks.
