Title: Functional views of evolutionary constraints in gene networks
Speaker: Dr Philippe Nghe, ESPCI, Paris
Abstract:
Evolutionary constraints in gene networks have so far been mostly discussed on the basis of connectivity, but the relation between their function and selection remains elusive. Based on synthetic and natural gene networks in E coli, I will show how measuring the functional phenotypes allows to better understand constraints arising between the genotype and the fitness.
